IB DP
The International Baccalaureate®(IB) Diploma Programme (DP) is a curriculum designed for students aged 16-19. The Diploma Programme curriculum is structured around three core and six subject groups. The subject groups taught in the Diploma Programme are language and literature, language acquisition, individuals and societies, sciences, mathematics, and arts. Students can choose specific subject disciplines within these subject groups offered by the school. The Core comprises an Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge and Creativity, Activity, Service.
DP Core is a unique course that expands the learning experience and challenges learners to apply their knowledge and skills in real-life situations. Diploma Programme is a two-year course where students can choose subjects at a Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL) based on inclination and aim. The Diploma Programme requires students to engage at the Standard level for a minimum of 150 teaching hours and at a Higher a minimum of 240 teaching hours. Students are allowed to take at least three (but not more than four) subjects at a Higher Level and the remaining at a Standard Level.
