SIAS IS HELD AN OFFICIAL TRAINING SESSION TITLED "FROM START-UP TO SUSTAINABILITY".
On the afternoon of August 3, 2022, Sias International School of Zhengdong New District, Zhengzhou (Sias IS) invited Dr. Shawn Chen, Board of director of Sias, and Mr. Wayne Wang, general manager of Sias Group (China), to give pre-training speeches in our school.
Dr. Shawn Chen gave a keynote speech titled "Creating a new chapter in Sias education by adhering to the original principle of "students always first". This speech emphasized the importance of putting students first, and united everyone in contributing to the creation of a new chapter in Sias education. Mr. Wayne's presentation titled "Effective Communication and Efficient Execution" provided valuable theories and methods for the work of employees.
These two wonderful speeches from Sias leaders opened the prelude to the 2022-2023 school year summer session at Sias IS.
On August 4th and 5th, 2022, Sias IS held an official training session titled "From Start-up to Sustainability".
All staff of the Sias IS operations team participated in this training session. The training further strengthened the systematic understanding of Sias IS by staff at all levels of the operations team. It also improved management and work efficiency, encouraged team building, and laid a good foundation for the start of the 2022-2023 school year and the future development and growth of the school.
In order to give everyone a better understanding of the IB school concept, we invited Ms. Addie, the principal of the primary school, and Ms. Juliana, the PYP coordinator, to present a detailed explanation of the IB curriculum. Henry Wong from ACAMIS (the Association of China and Mongolia International Schools) shared a keynote speech on "Support Staff Thriving in International Schools", showing everyone a way to work and develop in the micro-culture shock.
Dr. Mills, the Head of School, vividly explained the qualities and beliefs that our operation management team needs to have in transitioning from a start-up school to a sustainable school, through his trip to Dali. The sharing of the seven habits of high-efficiency people brought by Susan Jia, the Sias Habitat Kindergarten Principal, provided theoretical support and practical tools for everyone's work and life planning.
The meeting was also interspersed with wonderful performances brought by various departments during the training session. Each performance won constant cheers and applause from colleagues in the audience, showing another side of the team's versatility.
Through two days of competitive learning, the fourth, third and fifth groups won the first, second and third prizes of the event for their outstanding performance. The school also encouraged everyone by issuing a training completion certificate to each trainee who completed the training course.
The successful conclusion of this training session is inseparable from the support and help of various departments. All operation staff of Sias IS are pumped because of the training session. Operations staff actively welcome the 2022-2023 school year. Let us use "From Start-up to Sustainability" to "write a new chapter together"!
